One-Week Summer School on "Computing, Control, and Optimization (C2O)"
One-Week Summer School on “Computing, Control, and Optimization (C2O)” from June 9–13, 2025, was conducted in HYBRID MODE. This was the first in the series of C2O Summer Schools, held in collaboration with the IEEE Control Systems Society Chapter, UP Section, and the IEEE UP Section.
The central theme of the event was “Self-Organizing Intelligent Systems: Bridging Sustainable Computing, Control, and Optimization”. The summer school aimed to equip participants with contemporary methodologies and real-time implementation strategies for optimal and resilient control of network-assisted dynamical systems.
Key highlights of the summer school included:
-
Sessions on the viability and design of Networked Control Systems (NCSs) in modern industrial applications.
-
Workshops on computational algorithms and their integration into systems and control.
-
Practical training on optimization frameworks for numerical simulations and robust operation of NCSs.
-
Hands-on demonstrations using AI/ML tools for data-driven system analysis.
The school attracted active participation from a diverse group, including senior undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholars, and academicians from across India. Sessions were delivered by domain experts from reputed institutions, with flexible engagement through both physical and virtual platforms.
The success of this first edition has laid a strong foundation for future editions of the C2O Summer School series, aiming to continue fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration at the intersection of computing, control, and optimization.
