Advanced tools for Substation Design (3D, Intelligent CAD, etc) – Opportunities, Benefits, Challenges
This presentation aims to explore the practical applications and outcomes of deploying advanced Substation Design tools such as Inventor, P4A, and AutoCAD Electrical for projects with electric utilities, datacenters, and solar developers. Our goal is to provide an overview of the process, challenges, benefits, and future opportunities these technologies present. Specifically, we will discuss the enhancements in design accuracy, clash detection, material selection, and the overall improvement in quality and efficiency. The presentation will share insights from the implementation phases, highlight the solutions to challenges faced, and outline the tangible benefits realized, setting the stage for broader adoption and continuous improvement.
