About the Speaker – Dr. Alex Kuo

Dr. Alex Kuo is a U.S. patent attorney with 15 years of experience in intellectual property law, specializing in patent prosecution, patentability opinions, and IP strategy. He is currently an Associate at ArentFox Schiff, where he works with a wide range of advanced technologies including semiconductors, microelectronics, wireless communications, quantum computing, medical devices, and more.

 

Before entering the legal profession, Dr. Kuo was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan. He holds a JD from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and earned his PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan, after completing his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley.

 

With his strong technical background and deep legal expertise, Dr. Kuo brings a unique perspective to the intersection of innovation and intellectual property protection. He understands the importance of educating both clients and the public on key IP concepts, helping them protect their ideas and inventions more effectively.
