PreU-STEM workshop: Optical Technology

Description
Join us for an exciting Outreach Event, a captivating hands-on workshop designed especially for high school students. This interactive session aims to spark curiosity and inspire a love for science by exploring the fascinating behavior and properties of light through engaging experiments and demonstrations.
Students will dive into the science of light through activities such as
- Optical Illusions: Uncover how light can deceive the eyes and learn the science behind these mind-bending visuals
- Laser Mazes: Test your problem-solving skills by guiding a laser beam through a maze of mirrors and barriers.
- Fiber Optics: Discover how light travels through fiber optic cables and its essential role in modern communication.
- Spectroscopy: Use spectrometers to analyze light from different sources and reveal their hidden compositions.
- Prism Experiments: Explore the visible spectrum by splitting white light into its vibrant components using prisms.
Led by passionate university students and educators, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience science in action. Through collaborative projects and immersive activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of light and its many applications, while being encouraged to explore future studies in science and technology. Come discover the brilliance of light and spark your path toward a brighter scientific future!
