This professional development event, designed in alignment with the official IEEE WIE Day 2025 theme: “Pioneering Safe Cyberspace: Bridging Technology and Light for Security,” aims to highlight the pivotal contributions and leadership of women in the evolving domain of cybersecurity, 

organized by the IEEE UAP Student Branch WIE Affinity Group, in collaboration with the IEEE UAP Student Branch and sponsored by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Asia Pacific, this initiative celebrates IEEE WIE Day 2025 through a meaningful and impactful engagement.

 

The event will feature a panel discussion with distinguished women professionals from diverse sectors, who will share their real-life experiences, challenges, and insights in the field of cybersecurity. The discussion will delve into strategies for creating safe, inclusive digital ecosystems, navigating career opportunities in cybersecurity, and addressing the gender gap in secure tech industries.

 

By fostering awareness around secure digital practices, encouraging female participation in STEM leadership, and providing mentorship through shared knowledge, the session aims to empower and inspire the next generation of women engineers. Additionally, the event is expected to broaden the cross-campus visibility of IEEE WIE UAP AG and promote active participation in its future initiatives.
