This professional development event, designed in alignment with the official IEEE WIE Day 2025 theme: “Pioneering Safe Cyberspace: Bridging Technology and Light for Security,” aims to highlight the pivotal contributions and leadership of women in the evolving domain of cybersecurity and continuous professional development organized by the IEEE UAP Student Branch WIE Affinity Group, in collaboration with the IEEE UAP Student Branch and sponsored by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Asia Pacific, this initiative celebrates IEEE WIE Day 2025 through a meaningful and impactful engagement.

The journey from student life to professional life is marked by continuous professional development. It involves not only gaining academic knowledge but also acquiring practical skills, building real-world experience, and developing essential soft skills such as communication, leadership, and adaptability. Transitioning into the professional world also means learning how to navigate challenges, take initiative, and grow through both success and failure.

During the IEEE Women in Engineering Day celebration, the speaker shared an inspiring journey from being a student to becoming a successful professional, spoke about the importance of perseverance, self-belief, and the value of having mentors who offer guidance and encouragement. The speaker emphasized that professional development is not just about technical growth, but also about building confidence, overcoming barriers, and continuously striving for excellence.
