Biography:

Alessandro Tonacci (born in 1986) obtained his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy, in 2010. He was awarded with a PhD in Automatics, Robotics and Bioengineering from University of Pisa in 2015 and a Master in Machine Learning and Big Data in Precision Medicine and Biomedical Research from University of Padua, Italy, in 2021. Since 2011, he was Research Fellow, and since 2020, he is Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council of Italy. His research is focused on biomedical signal processing, biomedical sensors, consumer technology, and Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and well-being. He is co-author of more than 160 peer-reviewed scientific products. He is currently holding editorial positions for international journals, like Frontiers in Neuroscience, Frontiers in Physiology, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, and he serves as Reviewer for national and international Call-for-Grants in both European and extra-EU countries. He is also serving as Chair of the IEEE CTSoc Technical Committee in "Consumer Healthcare and Wellbeing".
