As part of its SDG Awareness Series, IEEE-STB MMMUT organized a lecture titled “Decent Work and Economic Growth – SDG 8” to promote understanding of the global goal focused on inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive employment, and decent work for all.
The session shed light on youth employment, entrepreneurship, the informal economy, and the role of education and innovation in achieving economic resilience. The aim was to encourage engineering students to think beyond technical solutions and consider their impact on employment, industrial growth, and fair labor practices.
