Cyber Bridge Day 1 : Unlocking Futures – WIE Day 2025: Cybersecurity Edition
The first day of the event opened with an enriching intervention from our esteemed professor, Neil Jomaa, who captivated the audience with a thought-provoking talk on the increasing importance of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in our digital age. He emphasized how these fields are becoming pillars of modern society and encouraged students to reflect deeply when choosing their future university or faculty, taking into account not only their academic strengths but also the market demands and their long-term aspirations.
Following this, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Ayham Arbi, who delivered a powerful and relatable testimony about his personal journey within ISI and how he found his way into the world of cybersecurity. He shared the challenges he faced, the turning points in his career, and the mindset that helped him overcome obstacles. His story served as a great source of motivation for students who are still exploring their passions and paths.
The day continued with a heartfelt and inspiring intervention from Engineer Maryam Absha, who provided a clear and relatable narrative about her experience in the IT field. She opened up about her time in the preparatory classes, how she managed pressure and uncertainty, and how she eventually succeeded in pursuing her higher education at Sup’Com, one of Tunisia’s leading engineering schools. She spoke not only about academics but also about resilience, time management, and self-belief, offering practical advice to students preparing for similar transitions.
We also had the chance to hear from Ziad Abrougui, an engineering student specializing in IoT at INSAT, who shared valuable insight into the integrated preparatory system. He spoke openly about the transition from high school to engineering studies, the structure of his academic program, and how he discovered his interest in IoT and embedded systems. His intervention helped demystify the path for students interested in integrated preparatory cycles.
Lastly, Inez Harabich delivered an honest and encouraging testimony. Formerly a student in the preparatory cycle at EPACE, and currently pursuing her engineering degree at CEPCO, she shared her experience navigating through academic uncertainty and adapting to new challenges. Her words resonated deeply with attendees who are currently facing similar doubts and academic pressures.
Each of these interventions brought a unique and valuable perspective, contributing to the core mission of CyberBridge — to connect students with professionals, expose them to real-world experiences, and help them navigate the evolving landscape of tech and cybersecurity with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
