IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Day Celebration
The IEEE JUIT Signal Processing Society (SPS) Student Chapter successfully celebrated SPS Day on June 2, 2025, at the Digital Learning Centre (DLC), Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT). The event commenced at 10:00 AM, aiming to promote awareness and academic engagement in the domain of signal processing among students and faculty.
The event was graced by Dr. Prateek Kumar, a distinguished faculty member from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Washington State University, USA, as the keynote speaker. His expert session revolved around cutting-edge developments in signal processing, covering key themes such as:
- Modern applications of signal processing in AI and IoT
- Research opportunities in academic and industrial sectors
- Challenges and future directions in the field
- Insights into graduate studies and collaborative research in the USA
Dr. Kumar’s presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session where participants enthusiastically engaged in discussions on signal processing applications, research pathways, and global opportunities.
