Tour Atlantic City Utility Authority Wind Farm
Tour of ACUA Wind and Solar Farm.
A tour of the Atlantic City Utility Authority’s 5 X 2.5 Mw Wind Turbines and solar arrays is set for 14 August 2025.
This is the longest-running wind farm in New Jersey, which opened in December 2005. It was the first coastal wind farm in the United States.
At ACUA’s Wastewater Treatment Facility (located at 1801 Absecon Blvd. Atlantic City), our group will learn how ACUA makes good use of renewable energy to clean dirty water (wastewater) from homes and businesses in Atlantic County. ACUA’s staff work around the clock to treat about 29 million gallons of wastewater each day and onsite there are 5 wind turbines and 2700 solar panels that generate electricity. Our group will meet with Joe Pantalone, ACUA’s Vice President of Wastewater and Brandon Nehring, Leeward Renewable Energy’s Plant Manager.
Members and their guests are invited to attend; please indicate the total number in the registration field.
