We are pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for attendance at IGARSS 2025 in Brisbane, Australia, from August 3 to 8, 2025. Recipients will serve as Ambassadors for IGARSS 2028, to be hosted in New Zealand, helping to promote the future conference and foster connections within the geoscience and remote sensing community.

Each scholarship provides up to NZD 2,500 for travel, accommodation, and registration fees. We welcome applications from early-career researchers, students, and professionals eager to engage with the international remote-sensing community.

Eligibility Criteria (Preferred, but not mandatory):

  • Accepted paper at IGARSS 2025

  • IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Student/Graduate Student membership

  • Demonstrated motivation to attend

Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:

  • Recipients will be expected to:

  • Assist at the IEEE GRSS booth on a roster basis, engaging with attendees and supporting outreach efforts

  • Promote IGARSS 2028 and the New Zealand GRSS Chapter as an Ambassador

Application Requirements:

Applicants should submit the following:

  • A cover letter (maximum 500 words) explaining their motivation and reasons for attending IGARSS 2025, how it aligns with their research or studies, and their intended contributions.

  • A CV/resume (maximum two pages).

  • A letter of recommendation from a supervisor, professor, or employer.
