TechX Uganda 2025 will be East Africa’s premier student-led event bridging cutting-edge technology with sustainability, focusing on AI-driven solutions for cybersecurity, Web 3.0, and climate resilience.
The event will foster interdisciplinary collaboration among students, professionals, and industry leaders to address Africa’s most pressing technological and environmental challenges. By integrating a hybrid format and virtual pre-events, TechX Uganda will maximize accessibility while minimizing its environmental footprint.
💥 Event Elements
Tech Element: AI in Cybersecurity & Web 3.0
The Tech Element will explore transformative technologies through two core tracks:
- AI in Cybersecurity : A workshop series led by experts from Cyber Security Uganda and IEEE’s Cybersecurity Initiative . Participants will engage in hands-on labs using Python and machine learning tools to detect vulnerabilities in IoT systems and secure decentralized networks.
- Web 3.0 and Decentralized Systems : Panel discussions and technical sessions on blockchain, decentralized identity management, and AI-driven smart contracts. Speakers from GDG and other organisations will demonstrate how Web 3.0 can empower sustainable development in Africa.
