IEEE Stall at UWU Expo 2025
IEEE Uva Wellassa University Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group and the IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter of Uva Wellassa University, set up a stall at the UWU Expo 2025, held from 16th to 19th July 2025. The stall offered French fries, mojitos, and ice cream, which drew a lot of attention and helped raise funds for future activities.
Alongside the food sale, an IEEE awareness campaign was carried out throughout the event to help students and visitors learn more about IEEE, its purpose, the benefits of membership, and how they can get involved in upcoming IEEE initiatives. Members of the student branch shared information about its entities, upcoming events, and the value of joining IEEE. Visitors also had the chance to learn about the various technical chapters, affinity groups, and how IEEE can support their academic and professional growth.
The stall created a friendly space for interaction and helped connect with new students while strengthening the presence of IEEE within the university community. By combining creativity, outreach, and community spirit, the IEEE stall at UWU Expo 2025 left a lasting impression, effectively promoting the essence of IEEE in an approachable and meaningful way.
