NTU GIPO 2025 Summer Camp on Photonics for University Students

The Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics (GIPO) at National Taiwan University (NTU) will host the "2025 Summer Camp on Photonics for University Students" from August 12 (Tuesday) to August 14 (Thursday), 2025.
The purpose of this event is to help undergraduate students gain a deeper understanding of the development and applications of photonic technologies. We sincerely invite all interested students to participate actively.

Purpose:
This summer camp adopts a lively and engaging approach to introduce undergraduate students to the fascinating world of photonic technologies through easy-to-understand course content. It also provides insights into Taiwan’s thriving photonics industry. This year’s camp focuses on silicon photonics, combining theoretical lectures and hands-on experiences to guide participants into the frontier of photonic applications and inspire limitless imagination and possibilities in future technologies.

Target Participants:
Undergraduate students (sophomore year and above) in science and engineering fields with an interest in photonic technologies

Number of Participants:
60 students

Event Date:
August 12 (Tuesday) to August 14 (Thursday), 2025 – a total of 3 days

Fees:
Participation in the camp is free of charge. However, a NT$1,000 refundable deposit is required upon check-in on the first day. This deposit will be fully refunded upon completion of the entire program.
