ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2025 (AGM)
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Kerala Chapter was conducted on February 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kochi. This annual gathering brought together members and student leaders from various IEEE RAS SBCs across the state to review the previous year’s activities and formally usher in the new Executive Committee (ExeCom) for the upcoming tenure.
The session commenced with the address by the outgoing Executive Committee, who shared their experiences, reflections, and heartfelt gratitude for the support received throughout their term. This was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report, where the outgoing team showcased their milestones, including impactful initiatives such as PRAYANA (INNOBOT and SKILLFORGE, and several other TEP events) and several other online and offline events, along with insights into membership growth and engagement.
Dr. Arun P formally introduced the newly formed Professional Executive Committee, a team of dedicated professionals who will collaborate with the student leadership to provide strategic guidance, ensure continuity, and support the long-term vision of the IEEE RAS Kerala Chapter. Following this, Ms. Amrita Jiju, Student Representative of the outgoing Executive Committee 2024, took the stage to announce the newly elected Student Leadership Team of IEEE RAS KC 2025, officially introducing Mr. Arjun S. Nair as the new Student Representative. After his introduction, Mr. Arjun S. Nair proceeded to introduce the newly formed Student Leadership Team of IEEE RAS Kerala Chapter 2025, highlighting each member’s role and their collective vision to drive forward the chapter’s mission in robotics and automation.
The New Chairperson of the Professional Executive Committee of IEEE RAS KC 2025, Dr. Arun P, delivered a compelling address, expressing enthusiasm for the journey ahead and affirming their commitment to furthering IEEE RAS Kerala’s mission. Following this, the new ExeCom presented their strategic plans for the 2025 tenure, outlining upcoming flagship events, innovation-focused student engagements, and expanded inter-SB collaboration efforts.
The AGM served not only as a transition of leadership but as a celebration of continuity, progress, and shared purpose within the IEEE RAS Kerala community.
