IEEE Southern/Southwest Joint Area Meeting, Fall 2025

 

MORNING SESSION IS VIRTUAL

AFTERNOON SESSION IS IN-PERSON - for students ONLY

There will be a hybrid Southern/Southwest Joint Area meeting on October 11, 2025. The morning will include all officers of the Sections to join virtually and learn about Finance, Election, Awards, vTools, Sections Congress, Student Activities, Professional Activities, YP and WIE activities. 

It will be a great chance to network with other IEEE leaders and learn about their activities, as well as meet the student chapter leaders. 
Updates on Section and Student Officer Training are included.  There will be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of what IEEE has to offer your members and to learn how to better engage them.

For the students in the local Irvine area, they are invited to join in-person to get more details around student activities from Region 6 Student Activities Coordinator, Alberto Tam Yong. The student session will start at 1pm. For student questions or concerns, contact the respective Area Chair and/or the IEEE Region 6 Regional Student Activities Committee Chair, Alberto Tam Yong ( alberto.tamyong.us@ieee.org ).

Plenty of parking in front. After you enter the building (door is not locked on Saturdays), check yourself in the Kiosk (person to see: Gora Datta or Brian Hagerty). We get alerted. Will come down and fetch you. Please try to reach between 12:30 to 12:45pm.
