TechMed Talks '25 #1: Inside the Human Machine: Anatomy and Physiology for Biomedical Engineers
TechMed Talks ’25 #1 marked the inaugural session of the 2025 TechMed Talk series—an impactful initiative that has been successfully conducted by the IEEE EMBS Sri Lanka Chapter for three consecutive years. This year, the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura had the privilege of collaborating on the first talk esteemed platform to deliver a highly engaging and informative session titled "Human Anatomy and Physiology for Biomedical Engineers", conducted by Dr. Sajith Edirisinghe, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, on 19th July 2025.
The session served as a vital knowledge-building opportunity, providing early-career biomedical engineers with a strong foundational understanding of essential anatomical systems and physiological processes. It also underscored the critical role of biomedical engineers in bridging the gap between medical science and technological innovation, further enhancing interdisciplinary awareness and academic preparedness among participants.
