IEEE Nominations, Elections, and Opportunities to Volunteer
IEEE Volunteer Opportunities
The IEEE Susquehanna Section and IEEE Region 2 will host a meet and greet on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00 PM at Penn State Harrisburg. We are entering the season where nominations for many of next year's volunteer positions are starting. IEEE has over 486,000 members, including over 189,000 student members, whose core function is to foster and facilitate technological innovation for the advancement of humanity. However, IEEE is only as strong as its volunteers! In addition to help IEEE achieve this noble cause, volunteering within IEEE is a great opportunity for professional development and to expand your professional network.
The goal of this session is to provide information and insight into the wide variety of types of volunteer and leadership opportunities that are available to its members. In attendance will be current executive committee (EXCOM) members of the IEEE Susquehanna Section as well as leadership from IEEE Region 2 (the parent organization of the IEEE Susquehanna Section). Here, you will learn about the IEEE nominations and elections process, and learn about opportunities for you to volunteer.
As part of this informational session, we will be providing pizza to all attendees, free of charge.
We hope you can all join us on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00 PM at Penn State Harrisburg. Olmsted Building, Room W107, and learn about opportunities that benefit both you and the IEEE at large. See you there!
