WIE LEAD 2.0
DAY1
The first day of WIE Lead 2.0 successfully kicked off with the aim of guiding and inspiring students who recently passed their preparatory engineering exams. The orientation was designed to provide valuable insights into life as an engineering student and professional, offering both motivation and practical advice from experienced voices in the field.
The event began with a motivational speech delivered by Mr. and Professor Neil Jomaa, who warmly welcomed the students into the world of engineering. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead and emphasized the mindset required for success as an engineer one rooted in curiosity, problem-solving, resilience, and lifelong learning.
Following the opening talk, a distinguished panel of ENSI alumni was invited to share their diverse experiences, both during their academic journey and in their professional careers. The panel included:
-
Chamedddine Ben Hamed – Technical Solutions Engineer at Google
-
Khaoula Dardour – Quantum and AI Solutions Engineer at IBM
-
Wafa Hakem – Software Development Engineer at Amazon
-
Yassin Bennaceur – CEO and Founder of OneTeem
Each alumnus offered a unique perspective on the engineering field, showcasing the wide array of opportunities available in tech, AI, quantum computing, entrepreneurship, and more. Their discussions provided a realistic and inspiring glimpse into both student life at ENSI and career paths post-graduation.
To give students a broader perspective on engineering education in Tunisia, we hosted representatives from various top engineering schools, including:
-
SUPCOM
-
EPT
-
ENETCOM
-
ENIM
These student representatives detailed the academic systems, specializations, and associative life unique to their respective institutions. This session allowed participants to better understand their options and make informed decisions about their future paths.
Day 1 of WIE Lead 2.0 set a strong foundation for the orientation program by bridging the gap between expectation and reality. Students left the session with renewed motivation, a deeper understanding of the engineering world, and practical advice to help them transition smoothly into this new academic chapter.
