IEEE Tokyo YP Summer Science School 2025
IEEE Tokyo Young Professionals (YP) hosted a programming workshop targeting elementary school students. Using the educational microcontroller board, micro:bit, students had an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of programming and took on the challenge of creating their own unique programs. Additionally, the event aimed to foster interactions between young researchers and engineers from various fields and the participating students, providing them with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of STEM careers.

Event Overview:
The event consists of three sessions:
Icebreaking Session:
Students engaged in interactions with young researchers and engineers who are part of the organizing staff. This session aimed to deepen the student's understanding of STEM careers and the image of engineers.
Programming Learning Session:
Participants learned the basics of programming using micro:bit.
Original Coding Session:
Applying the knowledge acquired, students created their own program.
