IEEE Dayton Section and Region 2 Volunteer Meet & Greet
IEEE Volunteer Opportunities
The IEEE Dayton Section and IEEE Region 2 will host a meet and greet on Monday, August 25th form 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Wandering Griffin Brewery. We are entering the season where nominations for many of next year's volunteer positions are starting. IEEE has over 486,000 members, including over 189,000 student members, whose core function is to foster and facilitate technological innovation for the advancement of humanity. However, IEEE is only as strong as its volunteers! In addition to helping IEEE achieve this noble cause, volunteering within IEEE is a great opportunity for professional development and to expand your professional network.
The goal of this session is to provide information and insight into the wide variety of volunteer and leadership opportunities that are available to our members. In attendance will be current executive committee (EXCOM) members of the IEEE Dayton Section. Here, you will learn about the IEEE nominations and elections process and learn about opportunities for you to volunteer.
As part of this informational session, we will be providing hors d'oeuvres and a drink to all attendees, free of charge.
Please RSVP with the number attending to: Michael Saville at michael.saville.7@au.af.edu or Barb Frantom at bfrantom@ieee.org
