Keynote Speaker

Biography:

Mistura is an engineer at Digital Pulse Technologies and the founder of VertSTEM Science Foundation. She earned an MSc. in Computer Science from the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, and a BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

She is a United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs TechWomen Fellow 2022 and a beneficiary of awards from the World Bank Idea4Action, African Development Bank, IEEE, Bertelsmann Technology, and Etisalat.

Mistura hopes to be a remarkable leader in pioneering future technologies. She volunteers with IEEE as the Chair, IEEE African Council Young Professionals and a member, IEEE R8 (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Women in Engineering Committee (2025)

She advocates for more women in STEM/rural education empowerment through VertSTEM. She is passionate about making STEM accessible to all, including those living in energy-deprived locations who cannot afford their computing resources. She was a part of the UNGA 77 Science Summit dialogue on Female Trailblazers Making Moves to Solve Local Challenges with STEM.
