Chapter Connect 2025: IEEE Islamabad Section Chapter Mini Symposium
The IEEE Islamabad Section celebrated IEEE Day 2025 in conjunction with a one-day Symposium on Section–Chapter Coordination held on 7th October 2025 in Islamabad. The joint event, themed “Industry–Academia Linkage,” served as a platform for bringing together over 140 participants, including students, faculty members, and industry professionals. While IEEE Day highlighted the global spirit of collaboration and innovation, the symposium focused on strengthening operational excellence, communication, and synergy among the Section’s Organizational Units (OUs).
The symposium featured a series of discussions designed to enhance coordination among chapters, societies, and student branches under the Islamabad Section. Key aspects covered included section and chapter guidelines, officer training on vTools, event reporting, IEEE Engage, membership development, rebate policies, financial management, and sustainability practices. The sessions provided an opportunity for chapter leaders to exchange experiences, learn best practices, and better align their initiatives with IEEE’s broader goals of professional development, technical advancement, and community engagement.
By combining the IEEE Day celebration with the Symposium on Section–Chapter Coordination, the IEEE Islamabad Section emphasized its commitment to volunteer empowerment, leadership development, and cross-unit collaboration. The event not only promoted a culture of learning and knowledge sharing but also strengthened ties between academia and industry through mentoring, internships, and networking opportunities. The Section extends heartfelt appreciation to IEEE and IEEE Region 10 for their continuous support in enabling such impactful initiatives that drive excellence, sustainability, and innovation within the engineering community.
