IEEE Orientation Program SYNCROSTRIDE 2025
The IEEE JUIT Student Branch organized an Orientation Program for the first-year students on August 6, 2025, with the objective of introducing them to the vision, mission, and opportunities offered by IEEE. The session was coordinated and executed by the third-year council members, with active participation from the second-year student members.
The orientation served as a welcoming platform to help first-year students understand the importance of IEEE in fostering technical learning, innovation, collaboration, and leadership skills. Students were guided about the benefits of IEEE membership, technical societies, events, workshops, and competitions that will aid their academic and professional growth.
Key Highlights of the Orientation Program:
🔹 Introduction to IEEE – A brief history, vision, and mission of IEEE were shared.
🔹 Opportunities with IEEE – Overview of technical workshops, hackathons, research opportunities, and conferences.
🔹 Role of Second-Year Members – The second-year members introduced the various IEEE domains, including Robotics & Automation, Computer Society, Power & Energy, Women in Engineering (WIE), and more, helping students identify areas of interest.
🔹 Student Branch Activities – Insights into the past achievements of IEEE JUIT-SB, including flagship events and community initiatives.
🔹 Interactive Session – Council members addressed queries and encouraged active participation from the newcomers.
🔹 Motivational Insights – Third-year leaders shared their personal experiences, emphasizing how IEEE has shaped their technical and leadership journey.
