STEM Awareness Session at Blossoms School
A hands-on STEM Awareness Session was organized on 2nd September 2025 at Blossoms School, Naya Raipur, by IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch in association with Bharat Drone System (BDS). The session introduced students to robotics, drone technology, and block-based coding, inspiring innovation and future-ready skills.
The STEM Awareness Session held on 2nd September 2025 at Blossoms School, Mana Basti, Naya Raipur, successfully introduced students of Classes 6 to 10 to the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Organized by IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch in association with Bharat Drone System (BDS), the one-hour session focused on educational robotics, drone technology, and block-based programming using mBlock 5. The session was led by Dr. Vijayalaxmi Biradar, Director of IQAC, who highlighted the significance of STEM education in fostering innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Students actively participated in hands-on activities with Codey Rocky and mBot robots and witnessed a live drone demonstration, which sparked curiosity and excitement. The event successfully motivated students to explore emerging technologies and future career opportunities in STEM, aligning with the vision of promoting technological literacy and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The STEM Awareness Session at Blossoms School, held on 2nd September 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, was carefully structured to provide an engaging learning experience for students. The program began with a welcome and introduction, followed by an opening address by Dr. Vijayalaxmi Biradar, who highlighted the significance of STEM education in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The session then moved to a hands-on robotics demonstration using Codey Rocky and mBot, allowing students to explore the basics of robotics and automation. This was followed by an exciting drone technology demonstration by BDS experts, showcasing real-world applications of modern technology. An interactive Q&A session encouraged active participation and cleared students’ doubts. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photo session, marking the successful completion of an inspiring and informative program.
