Nova Scotia Power - Energy Control Center Tour
Join us for an exciting in-person tour of the Ragged Lake Energy Control Center (ECC) in Beechville, Nova Scotia, on Friday, Oct 24th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
This tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Nova Scotia's key energy control facilities.
The facility is operated by Nova Scotia Power; the Ragged Lake ECC plays a vital role in managing the electric grid in Nova Scotia. Attendees will gain insights about transmission, balancing, and hydro operations, reliability planning and relevant standards, as well as some of the ongoing challenges associated with Nova Scotia's transition towards cleaner energy.
The tour will be supported by the System Control Manager, and operations team.
Guests will be required to sign a confidentiality form prior to entering the facility. Vsitor parking just outside the fence and a vehicle back-in policy applies to all parking spots.
