Minutes of the meeting
======================
- Dr. Lalji Singh has kindly consented to a patron and part of the Advisory Committee
- UoH has shown strong interest, esp Prof. Kondapi and his team in life sciences, DCIS at UoH is also very keen in being part of this event.
- Prof. Pandit has in principle agreed to be part of the event, he did express interest during our other IEEE event on Intro to Bioinformatics.
- Dr. Raj from TCS has expressed keen interest and we are following up with them.
The current action items include the following:
1) Finalize the Advisory Committee - we see key people having consented, we are yet to touch base with Dr. Hasnain from UoH, we can do sometime this week. If we can get him on board, I believe it will be very good for the Symposium.
2) Finalize on the speakers on the list of topics we have. As discussed in our previous meeting, we are open to changing the titles of the sessions if there is a need given the speaker preference.
3) Meet up with life sciences dept & CS dept at UoH and finalize a few things with Prof. Kondapi & Prof. Reddanna and CS dept probably this week.
I have created a draft website and hosted it on IEEE (its not final and not for circulation - we can finalize the details soon, we have to update all the details per se)

4) Talk to industry contacts like Ocimum, unfortunately we do not have strong leads to talk to Dr. Anuradha Acharya and others, we need to use contacts either from IIIT or UoH to make headway here.
5) Once the speaker list is finalized, we can immediately start the fund-raising and sponsorship from companies like Ocimum, Biocon, Reddy Labs, TCS, Infosys and other research institutions.
