Larry Borda

Biography:

Larry Borda

Phelps Dunbar LLP

Larry Borda acts as a resource for insurers and construction clients, bringing unique insights gained from a diverse career in the insurance industry, the construction business and as a construction litigator for 23 years. His love of construction started early. He spent 10 years in project management positions before starting his legal career. He also spent 14 years as the AE Focus Group Head of Claims for an international AEI insurer, where he directed the management of claims against architects and engineers working around the globe. He has experience sitting on both sides of the table and brings this perspective to Phelps.

Larry’s deep roots in the insurance and construction industries give him access to and understanding of market moves in both sectors. He knows how to help insurers evaluate and manage the risk around a wide spectrum of construction products and claims, and he guides construction companies through risk mitigation on complex projects. With Larry’s advice, our insurance clients can mold their claims services in innovative ways to respond to changing market conditions.

Dan Lund

When clients have construction disputes that require litigation, they trust Dan and his three decades of experience to take the difficult cases to trial. While managing the courtroom strategies, he also calms his clients’ litigation fears through constant communication and updates of everything happening throughout the trial process.

Dan practices in the area of construction litigation with a focus on construction and surety litigation. He represents design professionals, general contractors, major subcontractors, sureties, public and private owners, and wireless telecommunications carriers and owners of telecommunications infrastructure.
