IEEE HASHEMITE UNIVERSITY PES & IAS - PES HPSBC 2024 Award
We are proud to announce that the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) and Industry Applications Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter at Hashemite University has once again achieved remarkable recognition by winning the prestigious Region 8 PES High Performing Student Branch Chapter (HPSBC) Award for the fourth consecutive year in 2024. This milestone demonstrates the chapter’s sustained excellence in advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and creating a meaningful impact within our community.
The HPSBC Award, funded annually by IEEE PES, honors chapters that demonstrate outstanding performance in supporting and engaging their local PES communities. By fulfilling the program’s requirements, such as consistent officer reporting, impactful event organization, and promotion of global PES initiatives. Our chapter has proven its commitment year after year.
In 2024, we continued to expand our reach and impact through diverse technical and professional activities. Highlights included organizing Volt Vision 2024, a major conference on electric vehicles, which provided a vital platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among experts, students, and industry leaders. In addition, we conducted several specialized workshops and hands-on training programs, enabling our members to gain valuable skills in emerging technologies and sustainable energy solutions.
These initiatives not only enriched the academic and professional development of our members but also strengthened our chapter’s reputation as a leading student-driven hub for innovation and community engagement in Jordan and beyond.
