Introduction to Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Foundations and Emerging Opportunities
This seminar will provide a comprehensive introduction to the interdisciplinary field of Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC), highlighting its foundations, scope, and relevance in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. Participants will gain insights into the three key domains of SMC—systems science and engineering, human–machine systems, and cybernetics—while exploring their applications in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, control systems, and human-centered design.
The session will also showcase emerging opportunities for research, innovation, and industry applications that are particularly relevant to Nigeria, including smart cities, healthcare technologies, intelligent transportation, and energy systems.
