IEEE Hamilton-KW Life Member fall meeting and discussion.

Our semiannual meeting will take place October 15. This meeting will include a lunch followed by a presentation.

Gordon Harris was Director of Submersible Camera Engineering for the IMAX excursion to the site of the the Titanic during the filming of the documentary Titanica. He will speak of his experiences.

The IMAX corporation originated in Cambridge (yes, our Cambridge ON) where engineer William Shaw adapted an Australian patent to control the horizontal "rolling loop" motion of the 70 mm film, together with unique optics and lighting that are still in use. [See the excellent Wikipedia article].
