We welcome interested students to come and attend IEEE Day at the University of Adelaide on the 7th October!

IEEE Day is a monumental day where we celebrate the first time IEEE members came together in 1884 to share their technical day. EEESAU is presenting a night where you can learn more about the people and societies involved in the IEEE SA Branch.

Featuring a presentation of all the societies and groups talking about what they do, the kind of events they run and how you can benefit from joining them. We follow the presentations with individual stalls where you can go and ask questions to each of the representatives and network. We will also be hosting some food for all participants.

We welcome the following South Australian societies, chapters and groups to the event:

  • Power and Energy Society
  • Antennas and Propagation Society / Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (Joint Society Chapter)
  • Communications Society / Signal Processing Society (Joint Society Chapter)
  • Computer Society
  • Control Systems Society / Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (Joint Society Chapter)
  • Young Professionals Group

We also welcome special guests:

  • Chair of IEEE SA Branch: Bobby Yau
  • Educational Activities Chair: Robert Trott

What can you gain from coming to this event?

  • Understanding the benefits students can receive even after graduating
  • Network growth, get to know the many leaders that contribute to IEEE
  • A fun and professional evening with your friends
