Connor Hudson of Central Electric Power Cooperative
Transmission Planning and the Future of Power in South Carolina
Mr. Connor Hudson, Manager of Transmission Planning and Reliability of the Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc will speak on “Transmission Planning and the Future of Power in South Carolina”. Mr. Hudson will overview electricity generation, transmission and distribution, with focus on the planning, construction and evolution of a power grid capable of servicing South Carolina’s population and technology growth.
Biography:
Originally from Union, SC, Connor serves as the Manager of Transmission Planning and Reliability at Central Electric Power Cooperative in Columbia, SC, where he oversees a wide variety of engineering efforts across the state's Electric Cooperatives. He is a licensed P.E. in South Carolina, received electrical engineering degrees at Clemson and Georgia Tech, and is currently pursuing an MBA at USC. With a background focused on power systems and research, he currently supports electric grid planning, economic development, generator interconnections, project management, and regulatory compliance.
