On 27 September 2025, the IEEE NSU Student Branch successfully hosted the flagship event titled “IEEE Student Transition and Elevation Partnership 2025 - Igniting Future Innovators”. The event was jointly organized by IEEE NSU Student Branch, IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh, and IEEE Bangladesh Section. The day-long program was specifically designed to help undergrad students smoothly transition from academic life to the professional world with the help of opportunities provided by IEEE.

Many enthusiastic participants from different universities joined together to attend the informative program. After the participants collected their goodies and refreshments through unique QR codes, the program started with an inauguration session. There, the opening remarks were delivered by Saif Ahmed, following Md. Sohel Rana, Dr. Mohammed Imamul Hassan Bhuiyan, and Dr. Celia Shahnaz, who set the tone for the whole day.

Next, the Talk Session was held, where Mohammad Tofazzal Hossain shared a detailed discussion on the evolution of telecommunication systems and explained network growth, mobile operating systems, and emergency communication systems. After that, Dr. Celia Shahnaz delivered an engaging talk on AI for igniting women empowerment in engineering. She highlighted how IEEE WIE is working to empower women.

Later on, some insightful sessions titled “Beyond the Classroom: Building the Backbone of a Digital Nation” and “Channeling your inner champion - pathway from undergraduate to global grad schools and engineering careers” were conducted by Refat Rehan Masud and Dr. Fariah Mahzabeen, respectively. In that session,  Dr. Fariah Mahzabeen highlighted 4Rs - Research, Reflection, Resilience, and Restart as these are the keys to success. Refat Rehan Masud discussed potential areas that the students can lead. Lastly, Raihan Ur Rashid and Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah took the last two enriching talk sessions. Their talk featured some inspiring thoughts on topics such as transforming passion into profession and agricultural robotics and automation.

Following that, a dynamic panel discussion session was arranged with featured panelists Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Dr. Mohammed Imamul Hassan Bhuiyan, Lt. Col. Dr. Md Aminul Islam, Dr. Farhana Parveen, and Saif Ahmed, as the moderator. The panelists highlighted the aspects of AI, IoT, the research process, and necessary skills, along with the importance of practical knowledge. Tokens of appreciation were presented to all the distinguished speakers by Dr. Imamul and Dr. Celia.

After a prayer and lunch break, a Quiz Competition was held, where participants competed on recent tech and career topics discussed at the event. Following that, the most thrilling segment, “Innovative Idea Competition”, was held. Eleven teams were formed on the spot, where each team presented unique and innovative solutions.

Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners of both the Quiz Competition and the Innovative Idea Competition by the guests. The organizers thanked all the participants and concluded the event with a group photo. All the participants found the day-long program both educational and inspiring, since the diverse topics guided transitioning from student to professional.
