IEEE Day 2025 Industrial Gala and Section Chapter Symposium
The IEEE Islamabad Section celebrated IEEE Day 2025 along with a one-day Symposium on Section–Chapter Coordination on 7th October 2025 in Islamabad. Centered around the theme “Industry–Academia Linkage,” the event brought together more than 140 participants, including students, faculty members, and industry professionals. The joint celebration provided an excellent platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration between academia and industry, encouraging participants to explore new ways to align academic learning with the practical needs of the professional world.
Throughout the sessions and interactive discussions, speakers emphasized the importance of mentoring, internships, trainings, funding opportunities, and job placements in bridging the gap between education and industry readiness. Participants actively engaged in conversations on how IEEE can continue to serve as a bridge for professional development and innovation. The event fostered networking among academia and industry representatives, inspiring students and young engineers to pursue opportunities that connect their academic expertise to real-world impact.
The symposium held in conjunction with IEEE Day focused on strengthening collaboration and coordination among the Organizational Units (OUs) of the Section. It covered key topics such as section and chapter guidelines, officer training on IEEE tools, membership development, financial management, and best practices for chapter sustainability. The joint celebration underscored IEEE Islamabad Section’s continued commitment to empowering young professionals, promoting innovation, and nurturing an ecosystem of collaboration and growth. Appreciation is extended to IEEE and IEEE Region 10 for their unwavering support in advancing these objectives and in fostering a stronger, more connected engineering community.
