The IEEE SOAR Program (Student Orientation and Academic Readiness) was designed
to:
● Introduce first-year students to IEEE, EPICS, and SIGHT initiatives.
● Build awareness of professional societies and international collaborations.
● Encourage innovation through Ideathon, Solvathon, Innovathon, and Inspirathon.
● Provide exposure to AICTE Internship policy, hackathons, defence initiatives, and
incubation opportunities.
● Strengthen research orientation via sessions on publications, impact factor, and
IPR.
