Introduction

The KIET Student Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) was formally inaugurated in a special ceremony held at the KSOP Conference Hall on September 18, 2025. The event, a culmination of dedicated efforts by our student members, marks the beginning of a new chapter for our technical community at KIET.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of esteemed guests, including Dr. Adesh Kumar Pandey, Director Academics; Dr. Puneet Goswami, Dean of IT; and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Dean of EEE and ELCE. We also welcomed Dr. Yaduvir Singh Rohilla, Additional HOD of EEE, and Dr. Arvind Kumar from the EEE department, whose support and guidance have been instrumental.

The inauguration was successfully organized by the core team of IEEE student members under the expert guidance of Dr. Jitendra Kumar Seth, IEEE Student Branch Counsellor.

Highlights

The event commenced with a traditional and auspicious start, featuring the Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation delivered by Ameera Arfeen (Vice Chair) and Chirag Goswami (Reports and Newsletter Head). The presentation highlighted the vision, mission, and goals of the IEEE KIET Student Branch, outlining our commitment to fostering a vibrant, student-led community focused on technical excellence and professional development.

The ceremony was expertly hosted by our anchors, Shreyas Lawania (Membership Development Head) and Tanmay Krishna Gupta (Event and Program Head), who ensured a smooth and engaging flow throughout the program.
