Biography:

Mr. Bhuvana Sundar Soorappaiah, a seasoned program manager and global project-management mentor whose career spans more than two decades across Europe and India.

Mr. Bhuvana began his professional journey in 2002 with an internship at Sirona Dental Systems in Germany, where he developed an automatic exposure-control algorithm for dental X-ray imaging—research that became the foundation of his master’s thesis at the University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt.

From 2004 to 2007, he served as a Research Assistant Engineer at the same university, leading an international team to develop telecom simulation software and e-learning modules for European research projects.

In 2007, he moved into industry roles in Germany, first as an R&D Engineer at Atec Innovation and then as a Software Design Engineer at Teleca Systems, designing GSM Layer-1 signaling stack software and advanced QA tools.

By 2009, he had advanced to Freelance Software Design/Quality Consultant in Nuremberg, where he trained international teams in quality assurance and project management best practices.

Returning to India in 2010, Mr. Bhuvana joined GE Grid Solutions as Project Leader (Quality) – R&D, where he led the implementation of CMMI Level 2 & 3 best practices, oversaw the organization’s first solar-inverter localization project, and even served as Acting Head of R&D during a key transition.

His passion for mentoring and project management then led him to freelance consulting and coaching in 2013, guiding both professionals and students in practical project-management techniques.

In 2014, he joined Bosch Global Software Technologies in Coimbatore, marking the start of an impressive eleven-plus-year journey.

  • He first served as Project Manager for Automotive Electrical Power Steering,
