Dr. R. Raja Subramanian of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education

Deep Learning for Visual Intelligence

Biography:

Dr. R. Raja Subramanian is the Associate Professor and Associate Head, Department of Computer Science Engineering at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his Bachelor's degree as Anna University Rank Holder in Computer Science and Engineering at Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, and Master's degree as Gold Medallist in Computer Science and Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. He has qualified in GATE-2016 and UGC-NET as an Assistant Professor. He has completed his Ph.D on Human Activity Recognition leveraging Deep Learning and Fog Computing Frameworks at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education. He has received the PBL India Certification from Aalborg University, Denmark. He developed many consultancy and research projects for Esteemed Industries. He has received seed money grants for projects leveraging deep learning and internet of things. He has published more than 90 research papers in Journals, conferences and Book Chapters, 13 patents and has a record of h-index 15 in Scopus. He serves as a research fellow of INTI International University, Malaysia. He is also serving as faculty mentor for Industrial Projects at Multi-core Ware Inc in the Areas of Activity Recognition and Autonomous Navigation. He is a pioneer member in IEEE where he holds various responsibilities including Ex-com member of IEEE Madras Section Robotics and Automation Society, Student Branch Counsellor at KARE with 10 IEEE Societies and Affinity Groups, Chapter Advisor of IEEE RAS at KARE. He has organized various internationally funded IEEE Events and also act as the Chair of the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Computational Robotics, Testing and Engineering Evaluation (ICCRTEE). His areas of research include Algorithms (Randomized, Approximation, Parallel), Machine/ Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Fog Computing, Image & Video Processing.
