This Round Table Discussion, part of our week-long IEEE Day celebration, brings together leading academic, research, and industry experts in the field of technical education and artificial intelligence. The session creates an inclusive space for open dialogue on:
Harnessing AI as a catalyst for educational and professional growth;
Navigating the dual-edged nature of AI—its opportunities and challenges for women in STEM;
Breaking stereotypes, encouraging innovation, and fostering leadership—empowered by AI tools and mindsets.
Eminent panelists (as displayed in the event poster) will share their journeys, discuss the transformative effects of AI in technical higher education, and highlight how inclusivity drives innovation. Attendees will interact directly with the experts, ask questions, and gain unique insights into the future of STEM leadership in an AI-driven world.

Biography:
Dr. M.N. Hoda is Director at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications & Management (BVICAM), New Delhi, and the current Chairperson of IEEE Delhi Section. With over thirty years at the forefront of computer science education, he has driven curriculum innovation and led national policy initiatives, including serving on expert committees for DST, CSIR, and MHRD. Dr. Hoda is the Founder Editor-in-Chief of the Springer-published International Journal of Information Technology, now SCOPUS and SCIMago indexed. He holds a Ph.D. and MCA from Aligarh Muslim University, has worked as a corporate software engineer, and is an admired conference organizer, keynote speaker, and leader of national research projects. His lifelong dedication to outcome-based education, digital skilling, and academic reforms has inspired thousands of students and educators across India.

Biography:
Dr. Lava Bhargava is Professor of Electronics & Communication Engineering at MNIT Jaipur and Chairperson of IEEE Rajasthan Section. He earned his Ph.D. in VLSI from IIT Delhi and has served MNIT over two decades in roles as Dean (Research & Consultancy), HOD, Associate Dean (Student Welfare and Alumni Affairs), and Chairman (Student Undergraduate Board). He has supervised internationally funded research (5G Use Case Lab, Electronics & ICT Academy projects), published widely in VLSI, IoT, MEMS, and system design, and given numerous keynote talks and expert lectures at national and international conferences. He is passionate about flipping classrooms, examination reforms, and student-centric innovation, consistently blending technology with real-world teaching.

Prof. D. Boolchandani is Dean Academic Affairs and Professor at MNIT Jaipur, with over three decades dedicated to analog/digital systems, VLSI, and MEMS. He obtained a Master’s degree in Electronic Design from IISc Bangalore and has served as Professor-In-Charge Training and Placement at MNIT, shaping generations of engineers. His funded research includes ISRO-supported PLL frequency synthesizers, DST FIST modernization, and MeitY/Ministry of Electronics & IT VLSI development programs. He actively supervises PhD scholars and has chaired conference sessions internationally. Recognized for administrative leadership, Boolchandani continues to guide India’s transition to modern, industry-integrated engineering education.

Dr. Pilli Emmanuel Shubhakar is Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at MNIT Jaipur, having 27+ years of experience across teaching, research, administration, and academic leadership. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee, M.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, and B.Tech from Nagarjuna University. He served as Head, Dept. of CSE at MNIT (2019–2021), Honorary Dean (Network & Hardware) at Rajasthan ILD Skill University, and has co-coordinated the MeitY-sponsored Electronics & ICT Academy at MNIT. Dr. Pilli is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM and serves as Regional Coordinator (RAC-S) by ISRO @ MNIT. He has supervised 7 PhDs, 38 M.Tech dissertations, and published 80+ research papers, including high-impact IEEE journals. Dr. Mittal is cited over 3800 times (Google Scholar), regularly serves on advisory boards, and mentors women in technology through outreach and academic programs. She publishes extensively in peer-reviewed journals, oversees digital learning development, and coordinates multiple research and curriculum reforms at MNIT Jaipur.
