King Abdulaziz University IEEE Student Branch proudly celebrates IEEE Day 2025 on Tuesday, October 21th.
The event aims to highlight the role of IEEE in academic and professional development, showcase the branch’s achievements and future plans, and introduce IEEE Technical Societies such as APS/MTT and PES.
The agenda features talks by distinguished faculty members on the global importance of IEEE, membership benefits, and professional growth opportunities, followed by an open discussion and Q&A session. We invite all students and faculty to join us, engage, and explore the opportunities IEEE provides.

Dr. Mohammad Ajour will explore how IEEE membership provides students with valuable networking, professional development, and learning opportunities. He will share practical insights into how IEEE helps bridge the gap between theoretical study and real-world engineering practice.

Dr. Lutfi Al-Athar is a distinguished professor at King Abdulaziz University and the founder of the IEEE KAU Student Branch. He also played a key role in establishing the IEEE AP/MTT-S Joint Chapter at KAU. Known for his academic excellence and inspiring leadership, Dr. Lutfi continues to empower students in advancing research and innovation in antennas, microwave engineering, and related fields.

Omar Bukhari is an enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineering student with a strong passion for power and energy systems. He currently serves as the President of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Student Chapter at King Abdulaziz University.
Through his leadership, Omar strives to promote awareness of sustainable energy technologies and empower students to explore innovation in the power and renewable energy fields.
