As part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, our Student Branch welcomed Marco Antonio Zambelli, a Systems Engineer currently working at EDAG in Italy. He shared his academic experiences, his journey through the industry, and the path he followed to build an international career outside Brazil. Marco also emphasized the importance of participating in activities such as Student Branches within the university, highlighting that involvement in IEEE provides a significant advantage for students and opens doors for professional growth.

He also shared insights into his life in Italy and engaged actively with participants, answering numerous questions about his career, the automotive industry, and future opportunities. The session was highly interactive and provided students with valuable perspectives on career development and innovation.

To conclude the second day, we held a Coffee Break & Networking moment, celebrating IEEE Day with a cake and refreshments. This event encouraged interaction and collaboration among attendees, creating a welcoming environment for community building. This activity was kindly supported and funded by IEEE Foundation, IEEE Students, and IEEE Young Professionals, whose contributions made this event possible.

International Career and Industry Insights in Automotive Engineering

The session featured Marco Antonio Zambelli, a Systems Engineer currently working at EDAG in Italy. He shared his professional journey, highlighting experiences in both Brazil and Europe, and detailed the path that led him to an international career in the automotive industry. Marco discussed his current role, the challenges and opportunities he has encountered, and the importance of acquiring diverse technical and professional skills.

Throughout the talk, students were highly engaged, asking numerous questions about his career trajectory, the automotive sector, and the role of engineering expertise in global projects. Marco also emphasized the value of participating in Student Branch activities within the university, explaining how involvement in IEEE provides a strong advantage and prepares students for professional growth.

Biography:

Electrical Engineer with a qualification in Power Systems from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF, Brazil). Currently working as a Power Systems Engineer at EDAG Italia, contributing to Automobili Lamborghini projects. He has experience in automotive engineering, energy efficiency, public lighting projects, and civil construction management. During his academic career, he participated in the Formula SAE competition as team manager and received scholarships for automotive engineering and management studies in Germany. Passionate about technology, motorsports, languages, cultures, and music.
