IEEE Jacksonville Section Affinity Group Roundup - Life Members, Young Professionals, Women in Engineering
This is a special dinner meeting for Life Members, Women in Engineering Members, Young Professional Members. Also anyone who is qualified for membership in one of these groups, and would like to investigate joining. We are meeting at IHOP at Hodges and Beach Blvd. They have a broad menu and the food is paid for by the IEEE.
Life Member - The designation Life Member is applicable only to a member who has reached the age of 65 years and who has been a member of IEEE (or one of its predecessor societies) for such a period that the sum of his/her age and his/her years of membership equals or exceeds 100 years. Special programs for members in this phase of their careers.
Young Professional - Young Professionals are defined as post-Student members who are within 15 years of receiving their first professional degree with an option to participate beyond the 15-year time span. Opportunity for networking, and educational programs, technical and career building.
Women in Engineering - This group focuses on the status and advancement of women in engineering and science professions. The WIE Mission is to inspire, engage, encourage and empower IEEE women worldwide.
