IEEE ComSoc lecture: Environment Monitoring and Amateur Radio
A talk for ‘future evolution’ can include discussion and display of technical devices that can be additionally added to the basic radio-relay configuration ‘in the field’, such as environment-monitoring sensors or more complex instruments (E.g. weather stations) that inform mobile radio amateurs about weather conditions at the “other end of the road” – without any need for commercial media sources & infrastructure (TV broadcast, cell phone towers, etc.)
The topic may be also of interest for agrometeorology, soil science, food production, etc. as well as for members of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.
