The IEEE Student Branch at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is organizing the IEEE Day 2025 celebration to commemorate the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines the IEEE community worldwide. The event will feature talks by distinguished IEEE professionals, followed by networking and engagement activities designed to highlight IEEE’s role in advancing technology for humanity.

Biography:

Mr. Dhanu Pattanashetti is the Client Services / University Partnership Program Manager at IEEE India Council, based in Bangalore. He works closely with IEEE Xplore and other IEEE services aimed at researchers, libraries, and institutions. Mr. Dhanu has been active in IEEE’s outreach and support roles, helping institutions and members leverage IEEE resources. He has completed his PhD from University of Mysore.

From Graduate Student Member to Senior IEEE Member - His Journey

Biography:

Dr. Javed completed his PhD in Electrical Communication Engineering at IISc Bangalore.

He now works at Intel as an analog integrated circuits design manager with over 15+ years of experience in the field, focusing on high-speed, low-power circuit design. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and was inducted into the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu - the Honour society of IEEE.

Javed’s journey from an IISc student to a senior IEEE member makes him an inspiring example for budding engineers.

Biography:

Dr. Chengappa Munjandira is a Senior Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) with over a decade of experience in defining and delivering NFV-based telecom solutions. He has led solution integration of virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) and performance benchmarking for NFV systems. A Senior IEEE member, he is a founding member of the Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India (CCICI) and actively contributes to Cloud Interoperability and Portability initiatives in collaboration with TSDSI. Dr. Chengappa completed his Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). He is currently serving as Vice-Chair Technical Activities at IEEE Bangalore Section.
