Workshop on Introduction to Python and its Applications for Electrical Engineers

An online workshop on “Introduction to Python and its Applications for Electrical Engineers” was organized on Saturday, 12th July 2025 by Savitribai Phule Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering, Korti (Tal. Pandharpur, Dist. Solapur) under the Department of Electrical Engineering, in association with Pantech E-Learning as part of the IIC Calendar Activities for Academic Year 2025–26.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. K. J. Karande, who highlighted that the session received an enthusiastic response from students. The training was delivered by Mr. Guhan S., expert trainer from Pantech E-Learning, under the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pantech E-Learning and SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pandharpur.

The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce Electrical Engineering students to the fundamentals of Python programming and showcase its practical applications in electrical and automation domains. The session covered essential Python concepts such as variables, data types, control structures, functions and data handling. Participants also explored real-world applications of Python, including circuit simulation, data analysis, signal processing and automation.

The trainer conducted interactive, hands-on demonstrations that helped students apply Python concepts to engineering problems in real time. The workshop emphasized the importance of programming skills in modern electrical engineering and encouraged students to integrate computational tools into their academic and project work.

Overall, the workshop was highly informative and engaging, enhancing students’ technical competencies and motivating them to explore Python for solving engineering challenges.
