Fostering Student-to-Professional Leadership and Engagement
IEEE Day SPAx 2025 – Student Leadership Connect is a dynamic event designed to foster leadership, professional growth, and networking among IEEE student members and young professionals. The event, held at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, brings together students, faculty, and industry professionals to explore pathways from student membership to IEEE Young Professional engagement.
Through keynote speeches, interactive panels, hands-on leadership workshops, and technical talks on emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, Smart Cities, and Renewable Energy, participants gain practical skills, mentorship opportunities, and insights into global IEEE programs. The closing session emphasizes collaboration, volunteer recognition, and building sustainable bridges for future IEEE leaders.
The program promotes active engagement, highlights the benefits of IEEE membership, and inspires participants to continue contributing to the global IEEE community.

Participants will learn about innovation management, ethical AI adoption, data-driven decision-making, and creating sustainable ventures while leveraging AI tools for competitive advantage. The session aims to inspire proactive leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to navigate rapidly evolving technological environments.
Biography:
Mr. Asif Zaheer Shaikh is a seasoned banking professional with over two decades of experience in credit analysis, risk management, Islamic finance, and entrepreneurship development. He currently serves as Vice President SME & Commercial Banking at Habib Bank Limited (Islamic Banking), where he leads strategic initiatives to promote Islamic finance and SME growth. He holds a Master’s in Development Policy (Finance) from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, South Korea, and an MBA in Finance from ISRA University, along with a Certificate in Islamic Commercial Law from CIMA UK. A visiting faculty at SZABIST and MAJU, he has represented Pakistan at international forums in South Korea, Australia, and China. His research focuses on Islamic microfinance, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the AI era.

Abrar Hussain is the Founder and CEO of CodePro Software, a company specializing in Software Development and Agentic AI Services. He is also the Founder and Strategic Partner of TechBridge Institute, an emerging hub for digital skills and innovation. Previously, he served as Director at The Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (TIME) and worked as a Site Engineer at China Railway Signals and Communication. Currently, he is actively providing Web and Agentic AI solutions to various businesses, helping them automate and scale their digital operations.
