The IEEE Olympiad GUB 2025 was organized as part of the IEEE Day 2025 @ GUB celebration to inspire students to explore their technical and problem-solving potential in a friendly, competitive environment. The event aimed to promote innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration among students while fostering a deeper connection to IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity. 

The IEEE Olympiad GUB 2025 took place on October 12, 2025, in Room 302, Building A, at the Green University of Bangladesh. The event was organized by the IEEE Student Branch and co-organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter and the IEEE Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter. It aimed to engage students in a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment while fostering enthusiasm for technology, engineering, and problem-solving.  

The Olympiad was divided into two sessions to ensure fair competition among students from different academic levels. The first session, held from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, was designed for senior students from the third and fourth years. With over thirty participants, this session tested their depth of knowledge in engineering and analytical reasoning and their understanding of IEEE and its global mission. The second session, held from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, was dedicated to junior students from the first and second years. More than forty enthusiastic participants joined this session, eager to showcase their growing skills and curiosity. Both sessions maintained a lively atmosphere filled with excitement and healthy competition, as students demonstrated quick thinking and logical problem-solving.

The Olympiad covered a diverse range of topics, including the fundamentals of IEEE, basic engineering principles, IQ and logical reasoning, and general knowledge about Bangladesh and its well-known personalities. The event was moderated by Mr. Md. Rajibul Palas, who ensured smooth coordination and encouraged participants throughout both sessions. His guidance and active supervision significantly contributed to the Olympiad's success, motivating students to persist in participating in IEEE's academic and technical activities.

The IEEE Olympiad GUB 2025 concluded successfully as part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebration, marking another proud milestone for the IEEE Student Branch of Green University of Bangladesh. With the active participation of over seventy students, the event reinforced the values of learning, leadership, and collaboration. It stood as a testament to IEEE’s commitment to nurturing future engineers and innovators who are ready to shape the technological world ahead.
