As part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, a grand event titled “IEEE Day Celebration 2025 – Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology” was conducted with great enthusiasm. The celebration reflected the global IEEE theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow” and brought together faculty members, students, and IEEE volunteers to honor the spirit of innovation and collaboration.

Event Highlights:
The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Harsha Rueban, creating an engaging start for the celebration. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. K. Porkumaran, Principal of SKCET and past Chairman of IEEE Madras Section. He emphasized the numerous benefits of IEEE membership, the power of global networking, and the importance of contributing to the engineering community through innovative ideas.

A special segment was dedicated to the introduction of IEEE Xtreme 19.0, encouraging students to participate in this global coding competition to enhance their technical problem-solving and collaborative skills.

The highlight of the day was the IEEE Day Cake Cutting Ceremony, symbolizing unity and togetherness within the IEEE community. The cake, decorated with the IEEE Day logo, was jointly cut by the Principal, Deans, Heads of Departments, and IEEE Student Branch Volunteers. Student office bearers also shared their personal experiences and insights on how IEEE has strengthened their leadership and innovation abilities.
