A 2 Days Workshop On High Speed Routing and Switching Concepts In Data Communication and Networking Using Cisco Packet Tracer (Cisco Routing and Switching Masterclass)
Two-Day Hands-On Workshop on “High-Speed Routing and Switching Concepts in Data Communication and Networking using Cisco Packet Tracer.”
This workshop, sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, Hyderabad Section, provides students with a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of routing and switching fundamentals. Participants will use Cisco Packet Tracer to design and simulate LAN and WAN networks, exploring how network devices communicate and the function of routers, switches, and essential protocols.
Detailed Agenda/Topics Covered
Over the two days, participants will gain practical exposure to the following key concepts:
-
Fundamentals of wired and wireless communication
-
In-depth study of the OSI and TCP/IP models
-
Addressing concepts in data communication
-
Routing protocols (static and dynamic)
-
Network design and simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer
